What’s your Spiritual Gift? How might you contribute in service and mission? Maybe you are looking for a single event to help with or a short-term project. Check out the opportunities below! RoadsThat Create Awareness Teams
Now that we’ve been awarded the Humanities Texas grant for 3 exhibits AND now that the first exhibit is already here, we need help with a number of different short term teams!
Reception Teams: can be separate teams for 3 events at all 3 exhibits
- Religious Leader’s Luncheon, Public Opening Reception, Press Viewing*
- Arrange for food / coordinate with food sponsors
- Set Up and/or Clean Up Teams
- * Religious Leader’s Luncheon and Press Viewing are scheduled for week day whereas the Public Opening Reception will be on a weekend.
- There will also be a movie and discussion target to the GLBT community for which we would like to have some light refreshments!
Ambassadors
- to greet people during the open hours of the exhibit and have basic information on the exhibits and about our church.
Promotions Database Volunteers
- To help create contact lists for mail, email and FB pertaining to each event and exhibit
Display Teams
- To unpack and hang the exhibits plus take down and repack for shipping.
- THANKS to Cheryl and Edie who unpacked the first exhibit and to Cheryl, Edie, Carl, Dale and Eric who hung the photographs for this first exhibit!
Ministry Teams at the Church
USHERS & GREETERS – One of our faithful ushers and greeters died this past year and another has retired and is doing a lot of traveling. We definitely need more Ushers to help in Worship and Greeters to welcome people before and after Worship.
CHILDREN’S MINISTRY – We are in need of additional teachers and additional assistants! We are also interested in volunteers who will work with children for special events.
