Rites of Blessing are generally done over possessions such as a homes, cars, motorcycles, rings, etc. Most Rites of Blessing are done upon request and after discussion about the meaning for the participants.
The ancient practice of House Blessing is conducted on any home. After blessing the doorway and threshold, praying for good and love to enter and all evil to stay out, we go room to room praying blessings on the various purposes and activities of each space. Each room and door are blessed with Holy Water. Prayers are said for those who live there including pets.
Rites of Blessing for Animals are also conducted by the church upon request, in connection with a House Blessing, or at a special service such as the Festival of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals.
