Two Spirits – One Sacred Journey
Do you feel different? Do you ever have a sense that your life is somehow a sacred journey and wonder if others feel that way? Come join us at 9 am to hear MCCGD members describe their sacred paths and explore aspects of your own. This is an 8 part series that begins Sunday October 2nd.
We will begin the series by watching the video Two Spirit People where Native American lesbian poet Janice Gould says, “We’re considered Two-Spirit People. We’re all special because within us we have male and female and that gives us a special way to look at the world. I think it’s important for gay people to look at that tradition of being Two-Spirit because you’re not less than other people but more than other people and have a deeper understanding of the whole picture.” The class will touch on gender, sexual orientation, family of origin and faith.
Understanding all of who we are - gay, straight, lesbian, bi-sexual, two-spirit, transgender, male, female, single, coupled, believer, questioner - is to see our lives as a gift from God. If we see ourselves as a gift, we can find our place in the world. Come discover and/or explore your sacred journey in a safe environment.

CLM: Creating A Life That Matters
CLM – Creating A Life That Matters is a 3 course (18 week total) curriculum created by MCC people that helps us Rediscover our Relationship with the Sacred; Rediscover our Relationship with our Self; and Rediscover our Relationship with our Passion. We have taught this curriculum three times at MCCGD and want to give more people the opportunity to share in this experience and rediscovery! Creating a Life that Matters integrates art, scripture, music, film, journaling, and diverse spiritual resources to augment our exploration of the Christian path. CLM registration fees include a participant’s workbook and all materials. $30 for each course or $75 paid in advance. A limited number of scholarships are available at $15 for each course.
REGISTER NOW if you are interested in a class beginning in September! We need to know if we have enough registrants to make the class.
